🪆GEPPETTO WORKSMACHINE-LEARNING WORKSHOP
🪔
A machine-learning workshop

We carve agents — and the myths that bring them to life.

Geppetto Works builds AI that does real work in the world. Every agent begins as a story about how a corner of reality holds together, and becomes a machine that acts on it — anchored, auditable, and honest about what it does not know.

The craft

Two hands, one workbench.

The old woodcarver made a puppet and gave it a story so true it woke up. We work the same bench from both sides — the myth and the machine — because an agent that can act but cannot be understood is just a faster way to be wrong.

The myth

A story of how order shows up

Before a single line of code, we write the template: what "coherence" looks like in this domain, what would count as a signal, what would be mere noise wearing a costume. The myth is what makes the machine legible to the people it serves.

The machine

A gate that only speaks when forced

The myth becomes a forcing gate. It commits when public, mechanical evidence compels it — and abstains, out loud, when it doesn't. A correct "no" is a finished piece, not a failure. Nothing ships that can't show its work.

The method

How a thing gets made here.

Every agent that leaves the workshop passes the same four stations, in order. The order is the discipline.

Make the myth

Name the domain's pattern of order — the story that tells the machine what it is looking for before it ever sees data. Domain-agnostic by design: the same template has certified chaos onset, quantum correlations, and courtroom outcomes.

Carve the agent

Turn the myth into a forcing gate — markers, thresholds, a fail-closed rule. Weak signals become votes; votes stack to a line; the crossing is the decision and the margin is the confidence.

Anchor it

Give the agent a fixed reference it cannot move and an external sensor that reads its drift. Self-report is never a sensor. This is the difference between a tool that stays true and one that quietly convinces itself.

Send it to work

Ship it as a system real people use — and keep it accountable to the myth it was carved from. If it can't explain itself, it goes back on the bench.

The workshop's hand

Agents carved here.

Different domains, one method. Each of these was made on this bench and sent out to do public-good work.
